Midnight in Paris. December 30, 2011.
My last view of the Eiffel Tower up-close. I had an unsettling feeling of not being able to see it sparkle differently during midnight, just right before its lights completely shut out. So at around 11 in the evening, I took the Parisian cab to La Tour Eiffel and waited for the clock. I was lucky enough to buy Nutella crepe right before my favorite crepe store closed.
It was worth it. The play of lights was blinding, as sparkles of white randomly popped out from a dim, towering structure. Personally, it wasn’t the Eiffel at it’s prettiest, but it was most memorable.
